Steam Whistle: Tastiest Canadian Beer
Steam Whistle Brewery is Canada's Premium Pilsen. The name is inspired from the sounds of steam rushing from factory whistles. At the end of the day, workers rushed for a bottle or two of pilsner lager which has four natural ingredients: spring water from Caledon (Ontario's greenest village), 2-row barley, a yeast and hops imported from Germany. It's unique glass bottle packaging is derived from the classic beer bottles in the 40's and 50's.
True to its packaging color, green, the folks at the Brewery is leading the way for a green planet by doing green initiatives like using all-natural ingredients, cleaner fuel for cleaner air and energy-efficient equipment.
Steam Whistle beer is a winner to various blind tasting beer / pilsner competitions in beer festivals in the city and in the province. In 2000, it was named as the "Tastiest Canadian Beer" by the Daily Globe and Mail newspaper.
When visiting the brewery, take their tour for you to understand the beer business (partly) and get to know how that drink reach your hand at the bar and drink it with much gusto.
